Tree-Duce, Tree-Use, Tree-Cycle
For the past several weeks the Green Life Club at University High School has been working with Tree-Plenish on a special event. The goal of the event is to get people from our school and community to plant 58 Tulip Poplar trees. These 58 trees will replenish the amount of paper our school used the previous school year. Our goal is not only to bring the community together, but also to get surrounding businesses to sponsor the event and homeowners to request our trees be planted on their property. The earth has given us so much and we do very little in return. Our club works to educate and volunteer so that the earth is plentiful. This event allows our club to do service, educate, and bring in the community to better the environment.

Want a Tree?
Help us reach our goal of planting 58 trees by opting to plant a tree at the school or pick up a tree to plant in your yard! We will be planting at the school on April 23rd and the tree pick-up will be on April 24th. Trees are $5 and will come as saplings (18-24 inches).

I am a college counselor, yoga teacher, and faculty facilitator for the Green Life club. As yogis, we strive to practice ahimsa, or “non-harming” and this especially applies to how we interact with ourselves, each other, and Mother Earth. Watching young people come together to give back to our earth, who gives us everything we need, is inspiring and I am here to be a support and motivator in these efforts to make sure we are honoring our planet and practicing non-harming as often as possible.
I am 17 years old and I go to University High School of Indiana. I am currently the publicist of Green Life. Recently I have been very passionate about animals and helping the environment. I have watched and read articles educating myself on the environment and what we can do to help it. I am very excited to be a part of green life and do what we can to help the earth. After seeing how much paper our school uses I think planting trees would be a great idea.
I’m a junior at University High school and a co-founder of Green Life Club. The protection of the environment has always been important to me, especially in light of recent events; climate change, California forest fires, and increased hurricane activity. This cause has always been important to me and working with Tree Plenish has opened my eyes to the presence of paper waste within my own community. I have done small projects within my own neighborhood and hope to bring light to this in my community.
I am seventeen years old and I am a Junior this year at University High School of Indiana I am the Secretary of the Green Life Club. I am 17 and a junior in high school. I am vegan and a co-founder and co-president of the Green Life Club at my school. One of the reasons I love the club and this event is not only because I am very passionate about doing everything I can to save animals and the environment but I work hard to educate people about current issues in my community.
I'm 16 years old and a junior at University High School of Indiana. I am a member of the Green Life Club. I first started conducting science experiments dealing with environmental science, specifically water pollution (inspired by water pollution in Flint, Michigan), when I was in the 6th grade. Since then, I have developed a passion for understanding issues occurring in the environment and brainstorming solutions for them. I have recently joined this club because I would love to be involved in taking care of our planet, our future, and the environment after all Earth has gone through.
